Senator Bukola Saraki assists accident victims in Imo State.

Heading from Owerri to Abia on the Aba-Owerri road. A truck fell, causing significant traffic, Bukola Saraki stopped his convoy, got down and assisted road users. He also directed his Security team to help out.

Senator Bukola Saraki was in Imo State today to meet with PDP delegates on his plan to run for the office of President Come 2019.  

 

 

Six dead and other Homeless as Flood Hits Jigawa

No fewer than six persons have been feared dead and several others displaced by flood in Dabi village, Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The flood has displaced residents of the local government, forcing them out of their homes following a heavy downpour.

Schools and farmlands were not spared as they were all submerged in flood.

The displaced residents of Dabi village have since left their homes seeking shelter elsewhere.

Dabi village is known for rice and millet production but now it is only accessible through canoe.

Some other communities in four different local government areas of the state were also affected by the downpour.

They include Birninkudu, Taura, Jahun And Miga Local Government Areas.

The State Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Hassan, who visited some of the affected areas confirmed the death of the six persons.

He added that the State Emergency Agency has since intervened by providing relieve materials to the displaced residents.

Senator Dino Melaye arrested at Abuja airport by Federal Govt

Nigerian senator, Dino Melaye has moments ago, announced via his twitter handle that he has been arrested.

He said on Monday that he was picked up at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

It was not immediately clear which agency carried out the arrest, but Mr Melaye was declared wanted for his alleged involvement in a murder case and provision of support for criminal elements in his home state of Kogi.

Senator Melaye wrote,

”I have just been arrested at the international wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport on my way to Morocco for an official engagement sponsored by the Federal Govt after checking in”.

tech Giant, Google honours Stephen Keshi with Doodle

Doodles are changes made to the Google logo on their website to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists and former Nigerian Super Eagles captain and coach Stephen Okechukwu Keshi just got honoured with one.

Today would have been his 56th birthday if he were to be alive.

Keshi died in June 2016, less than seven months he lost his wife, Kate, to cancer.

He won the African Cup of Nations for Nigeria as a player in 1994 and was the only Nigerian to have won the same tournament as a coach, a feat he achieved in South Africa in 2013. In the same year, he qualified the Super Eagles for the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil, thereby becoming the first African coach to qualify two African countries for the World Cup finals.

Before guiding the Super Eagles to a successful AFCON, Keshi was in charge of Mali and Togo, with whom he enjoyed a measure of success. He was the first coach to qualify lowly Togo to for the 2006 World Cup.

But he was sacked just before the tournament and was replaced by Otto Pfiser after the tiny West African country dismal showing at the 2006 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Apparently, the INEC office was not the only building that burnt down yesterday in Delta State, Two siblings were burnt to death yesterday afternoon in the kitchen when fire swept through their home at Mission Road, Jesse Town, Delta State.

The two children who are said to be siblings were inside a kitchen when fire from no where rounded them up, but what I don’t understand here, is why no recued the kids because I believe they must have shouted Enough.

The mother of the kids came back saw the house on fire with help from neighbours who arrived late at the scene to put down the fire, unknown to her, the kids was at home and were already burnt beyond recognition.

Its a really painful experience loosing both your kids at once to such a tragic and painful death.

My Advice to parents out there, is to be very careful and don’t leave their kids for a long time to market or church because anything can happen within just 20mins.

May the soul of the kids rest in peace…..

OMG! ‘Angel’ suddenly appears in TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church (SCOAN) - [WATCH VIDEO]

Hey guys, check out this Video which was uploaded to Emmanuel TV’s YouTube Channel, which has subsequently gone viral. The video shows an onlooker outside The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) recording the entrance of the church whilst inside a stationary vehicle.

Suddenly, a flashy figure in white is seen mysteriously crossing the road and entering inside T.B. Joshua’s Lagos-based Synagogue Church of All Nation.

Joshua’s social media channels requested reactions from viewers, the overwhelming majority asserting that the figure was an ‘angel’ caught on camera.

“I have watched the video 20 times,” wrote a commenter known as ‘Baty’ on YouTube who described himself as a professional graphics editor.

“This is not a reflection of any sought, neither is it editing; it’s a pure angel,” he concluded, citing the height of the ‘being’ and the speed of its movement.

Nnadi Uchenna contributed:

“What I saw was not a reflection of any glass or shadow. It was actually a moving transparent object in human shape… For me, it is an angel of God.”

However, not all were in agreement. 

“Not all ghost-like creatures are angels; that doesn’t look angelic to me,” opined another person called Lugano.

Asari Dokubo calls President Buhari "a Wicked Satan" in New Video

Former Niger Delta militant leader, Ahaji Asari Dokubo, has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari sent his Fulani brothers to kill natives of Benue State.

He said it was shameful for people of the state to keep crying without rising up against the marauding herdsmen unleashing terror on their land.

In a video shared on his Facebook page, Dokubo alleged that Benue leaders were behind the ongoing pogrom in the land.

Female Professor, Adesanya-Davis Declares Presidential Ambition come 2019 Election

Olufumilayo Adesanya-Davis is a Professor of Language and Communication Arts at the Rivers State University of Education and is aspiring to be president of Nigeria come the 2019 elections. 

She said the decision to make the nomination forms free for women aspirants had boosted her interest.

She said, 

"I am aspiring to be the next president of Nigeria. I am out to put laughter of joy on the mouth of all. I have discussed this with the former presidential candidate, Sarah Jubril, who incidentally is from Kwara State. Her reaction was that 'if a miracle like this will ever happen, we have paid the price in Kwara State and it is going to happen in the state.

President Muhammadu Buhari appoints Rotimi Amaechi as the Director-General of his 2019 election campaign

With preparation of the upcoming election which is just 13 months away, President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly reappointed his Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, as the Director-General of his 2019 election campaign.

According to information gathered, Buhari may have finally made the decision to seek re-election and has started preparing to campaign with Osibanjo by his side.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike in reaction to the murder of over 25 people in Omoku have promised  a reward of Two Hundred Million Naira (N200,000,000) to anyone who gives up the names of the unknown gunmen who committed this inhumane crime.

The Governor also urged other Government bodies and security agencies even the members of the communities to come with any information they ave in order to solve this case and stop this hoodlums from committing more crimes.

Death Toll rises in Omoku as Gunman kills over 21 persons and injures many

Citizens fear for their lives as more than 21 persons were reported killed by unknown gunmen while returning from cross-over night in Omoku, Rivers State.

Survivors were quickly rushed to the hospital for medical intervention while the dead while left for their relatives to identify.

The police and Government have promised to do everything within their power to comprehend these murderers.

Members of the community are advised to be alert and report any suspicious movements or persons to the police.
