Bodies of missing JSS III school boys found in river

Tochukwu Ene and Chukwuemeka who were junior secondary school JSS III students of the Federal Government College, Okposi, in Ohaozara council Area of Ebonyi State were abducted on Thursday, May 12, 2016, and news reports have revealed that the bodies of the teenagers have been found in a local river in the state, not too far from the school.

The boys had been missing for ten days before their decomposing bodies were reportedly found in the river in Ebonyi State.
A family source for one of the deceased, disclosed to the Nation in Enugu on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, saying:
“Their corpses were found floating in a local river on Sunday.”
Correspondents for The Nation learnt that the police in Ebonyi, have reportedly made some arrest in connection with the sad incident, including some members of staff of FGC, Okposi.
The traditional ruler of the community was also reportedly arrested and is now facing interrogation at the Police Command Headquarters, Abakaliki.
The family source also reveals that, before the two boys were murdered, no attempt had been made by the suspected kidnappers to reach out to the boys’ parents identified as, Barrister and Mrs. Bato Eneh and Mr. and Mrs. Bonny Ugwu, aka Bonjoe, with a ransom request.
The news reports also reveal that the late students had just finished their Junior NECO examinations on the fateful day they had been kidnapped.
The remains of the students were laid to rest on Tuesday, at their respective hometowns after autopsy had been carried out on the corpses by police pathologists to determine the possible cause of their deaths.
