Lorde kicked off the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The 20-year-old New Zealand native looked like a princess at the ball in her strapless gown with feathers that reached the floor and appeared to be five feet wide at the hem.
The Royals hit maker is set to perform at the event which is being hosted by Katy Perry. The 2017 VMAs will be broadcast live from the Forum in Inglewood, California airing on MTV at 8 pm ET.
Soon after more celebrities arrived at the event, which sees Kendrick Lamar with the most nominations.
Demi Lovato was head-to-toe sexy in a black outfit that consisted of a very risque see-through top. The Confident singer added harem slacks that sparkled and came in at the ankle. Black pointy heels matched perfectly.
The siren's glam was spot on with earth toned makeup and long curly hair parted in the middle.
Jenelle Evans of Teen Mom fame wore a striking black gown with a colorful top and a skirt that came out at the waist.
The brunette beauty was seen with her beau who she passionately kissed on the red carpet.
Erin Lim looked dazzling in a plunging black mini dress with swirling sequins and lace sleeves.
The number came in at the waist and was belted. It was quite short, showing off her dazzling legs. Gold heels added plenty of glam. She wore snake earrings and had her hair up.
Actor Andrea Russett looked lovely in a white gown that was so plunging it showed off her chest tattoo. Her hair was worn in lovely barrel curls.
Earlier Perry posted a photo of herself in a gold outfit with a gold background by Shearer Photo. The Swish Swish singer's caption read: 'Your hostess with the mostest.'
She is set to oversee the event while plugging her new music. It has been rumoured that her foe Taylor Swift might show up, but a VMA producer said that was not true.
Miley Cyrus shared several images to social media.
One saw her twerking on Robin Thicke from years past. Cyrus added a photo of her father in the corner and promised her in caption that she would be 'good.'
Ariana Grande shared a photo of herself with a dog. The hit maker said she was excited for the show which will take place in LA but revealed she would not be there.
'Happy #VMAs Day everyonnneee! We so wish we could be there with y'all and are so so thankful for the nominations @mtv. @brilovelife @iamskot and I are sending all our love !!!' she wrote.
Cyrus will perform along with Ed Sheeran and Lorde.
Other performers include Fifth Harmony, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Shawn Mendes, Logic, Khalid, Gucci Mane, Post Malone, Julia Michaels, Alessia Cara and KYLE.
Demi Lovato, DNCE, and Rod Stewart to give remote performances at the Palms in Las Vegas during the show.
