Reports indicates that men of the Nigerian Army have returned to Oporoza community, traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State in their search for wanted ex-militant leader Government Ekpemupolo also known as Tompolo.
A source said “The soldiers are scattered all over the community, they are moving from place to place, we do not know what they came to do again.” “Most of the young people fled into the bush again, but some women and elderly ones, who could not run waited behind to know what they came for this time around. I am seeing about 50 soldiers, though I am not sure of the exact number,” he said.
“There is nothing wrong in soldiers going back to Oporoza if they got more intelligence information on the perpetrators and their modus operandi.”
Tompolo has been fingered by some persons in the ongoing attacks by Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, although Tompolo and Niger Delta Avengers have denied this claim.
