Oje partners Sound Sultan on social transformation in ‘Naija I love you’

/ by Charles Matthew

With the release of his debut single titled Naija I love you, featuring legendary singer and UN Peace Ambassador, Sound Sultan, budding Nigerian artiste, Oje, has begun carving a niche for himself in the Nigerian entertainment industry as he trails the blaze left behind by Nigerian artistes who have built a pedigree in the music industry by making music that encourage social transformation.

Oje, who was a mentee of Beyonce’s father, Matthew Knowles, while he was a student at Texas Southern University, seeks to be a pioneer and ambassador for the new Nigerian creative arts renaissance.

According to Oje, the Nigerian music industry currently lacks substance and direction for social causes and therefore has decided to saddle himself with the herculean task of engaging in anything that encourages it, including making songs with a unique sound about it.

“I want to be an advocate for change in our society by creating a bureaucracy for young professionals using my social conscious music to effect that change. We’re beginning with creating awareness about the ‘Magna Day Party-Nigerian Independence Day Special’, which will take place on Sunday, October 1st, 2017, at the Velvett Lounge, 19B Idejo street, Victoria Island This Sunday October 1st, 2017”, he said.
