Buying clothes on a budget
Oh, the clothes we could buy if we had all the money in the world! Clothes are wonderful. So are shoes. A close third is bags, and jewelry, and accessories...okay, I should just say we ladies love our fashion items.
Sadly, we cannot spend all our money on clothes because we need to eat, find a place to live and be productive. This means that buying clothes and still being thrifty is an important life skill. Lucky for you, we are here with some tips that will help you spend much less on clothes and shoes.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR CLOTHES
Your clothes will last longer if you take care of them. Some clothes are not to be machine-washed but need gentle hands-on care. Different materials need different types of care to be used to their maximum lifespan. Read the care label on the back of your clothes and adhere to those instructions.
SALES, SALES, SALES!
Sales are a thrifty girl’s best friends. Keep an eye out for sales in your favorite stores, especially towards the holiday periods when they slash their prices drastically.
BUY QUALITY ITEMS THAT WILL LAST
If you want an important piece of clothing, buy one that will last for you. Sometimes, you need a really expensive piece of clothing that will last you for years. Invest in it. This is mostly true for shoes and bags that will stand the test of time.
BUY CLOTHES IN YOUR SIZE
Don’t optimistically buy clothes two sizes smaller because you’re looking to lose weight. It is great on paper, but it is hell on your budget.
USE HAND-ME-DOWNS
Yes, accept clothes from friends and family members when they offer. Be choosy though, only choose the items that are your size and are quality.
BUY RETAIL
OK, or okirika clothes have different grades, including the quality stuff that lasts long. You have to be a smart shopper to find the really good places that sell great OK clothes and find really great pieces. Okirika clothes can be classy and beautiful and last longer than even store-bought clothes.
There it is ladies! Your budget will thank you for this.
